This September will see One Therapy celebrate two years since we opened our new practice in Kensington. We have had therapy rooms in central London and Brighton for many years. Finding quality counselling in Kensington is now easier than ever.
As counselling and psychotherapy practices rely so much on reputation to grow, it’s never easy to establish a practice in a new area. However, we’re proud to say that our Kensington branch is growing and that’s testament to the high-quality psychotherapy, counselling and couples therapy that we provide there.
Our counselling practice in Kensington
We have a reputation for providing high quality therapy. Our business was established in 2006 and many of our therapists are extremely experienced and well-regarded. We take therapy seriously and are committed to recruiting only the best psychotherapists.
We believe it’s important for clients to feel comfortable and well looked after, and that is certainly reflected in our beautiful therapy rooms. Clients often comment on how lovely they are. There’s something very special about walking into our rooms; people feel safe and at ease there.
We offer open-ended therapy, which means it is up to you how long you stay in therapy. You are free to end your sessions at any time. Many clients choose to stay with us for years, but it’s always your choice.
Our Kensington therapists
Of course, even if you decide to go with a group practice, you’re still likely to be given a choice of therapists for your initial consultation, so it’s useful to think about your criteria.
Andreea Gligore is a very experienced therapist who offers short- and long-term integrative counselling. This means she draws on different therapeutic approaches to tailor her work to the individual. Sessions with Andreea are safe and welcoming, enabling you to freely express your thoughts and feelings. She is particularly experienced in working with relationships, bereavement, loneliness, anxiety and depression.

Asma Gharbi offers psychodynamic, humanistic and integrative therapies to individuals and couples. She offers short- and long-term therapy and tailors her approach to suit each individual client. Asma is happy to work in English, French or Arabic. She has experience working with clients from different backgrounds on various issues such as trauma, abuse, relationship problems, identity issues, depression and anxiety.
Kerry McEwen believes essential to the success of any therapeutic journey is acceptance and the ability to feel safe in the presence of another. Her warm, collaborative approach encourages her clients to open up and feel heard and accepted, perhaps for the first time. Kerry recognises that painful memories are often buried deeply within the unconscious, frequently manifesting in unhelpful patterns of behaviour. Her areas of expertise include neurodiversity, disability, trauma, abandonment, loss, guilt and shame.

A private room in a convenient location between High Street Kensington and Notting Hill
Our Kensington therapy room is in Holland Street, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Kensington High Street. It’s a world away from the hustle and bustle though. We know how important privacy is for our clients, so our practice is in a discreet building in a quiet street.
Getting there
One Therapy Kensington is ideally located for clients living in Holland Park, Notting Hill, South Kensington, Bayswater and Knightsbridge, as well as the Kensington High Street area itself of course.
Many clients like to take some time to gather their thoughts as they walk to and from their therapy sessions. Nearby Hyde Park and Holland Park are wonderful places to do this.
For those who live outside the local area, One Therapy Kensington is very easy to reach.
High Street Kensington is within five minutes’ walk. With Notting Hill, Holland Park and Olympia all also within walking distance, our counselling practice can be easily reached on the District, Circle, Central and Overground lines.
Many bus routes run nearby along Kensington High Street, Kensington Church Street and Notting Hill Gate. The Hornton St car park is just one minute’s walk away.
Accessibility – finding quality counselling in Kensington
One Therapy Kensington is based on the ground floor with an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. We know it can be hard to find a therapy practice that is accessible and we are proud to offer this.
