Counselling, psychotherapy and couples therapy tailored to you

Counselling London since 2006

We’ve helped thousands of people across London since we opened 20 years ago.

Therapy is a private and very personal experience. Whatever you discuss with us during counselling is always confidential.

We operate a policy of non-discrimination. Your therapist will not judge your behaviour, personal choices or past experiences. In therapy, you’re free to discuss anything that’s on your mind.

Our therapists are carefully chosen for their warmth, training and professionalism. Many of our counsellors, psychologists and couples therapists have been with us for many years.

We trust our team, and so can you.

Professional therapy for individuals and couples

Our counsellors, psychologists and couples therapists are UK-trained and highly qualified. We are BACP and UKCP registered.

Therapy can take place in-person at one of our London locations, or online, whichever you prefer. Many of our clients choose a hybrid form of therapy, where some sessions take place in-person and some online.

Following your initial consultation, fees for individual therapy start at £90 per session. Full fee information can be found on our therapists profiles.

It’s quick and easy to book an appointment through our online booking system. Booking an appointment takes about five minutes, and you’ll receive an email confirmation straight away.

If you prefer, you can also book by phone on 0333 207 9330 or email at info@onetherapy.london

At your first appointment, your therapist will ask you a few questions about what’s been happening in your life and what’s brought you to therapy.  You’ll also have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about counselling or psychotherapy.

You and your therapist will then discuss next steps, and you’ll be able to decide whether you want to continue with further appointments.

Your first session will be with a specific therapist. In most cases, people choose to continue with the same therapist for subsequent sessions, but it’s absolutely fine to ask for someone different if you want. You can do this at the end of your first appointment, or by contacting us afterwards at info@onetherapy.london

Sometimes, your counsellor at your first session may feel that someone else would be a better fit for you. If this is the case, they’ll discuss this with you. Our number one priority at One Therapy London is that you are comfortable and that you get the right support from your therapist.

Yes. You may end your sessions whenever you feel necessary, just by letting your therapist know. Or you may wish to take a counselling break and resume therapy, when you are ready, at a later date.

Everyone’s needs in therapy are different and people progress in therapy at different rates, so predicting how many sessions you will need is difficult. Once you and your therapist have had a few sessions together, a conversation with them may help you to establish realistic expectations.

Yes. Everything you discuss in therapy is confidential. There are certain legal exceptions to this, which we will explain when you take up therapy with us. We create a space where you can discuss anything on your mind in a private, confidential setting without being judged.
